Ingrid Wilson was born and raised in the Netherlands and entered the US with a four-year teaching degree obtained in 1984. Her background is in Occupational and Physical Therapy. She has worked in several health care settings including UCSD Medical Center, Mission Bay Hospital as well as in well-known local retirement homes, rehab centers and chiropractic care offices.
She received her Massage Therapist License from Mueller College in San Diego in 2011 and became a Holistic Health Practitioner and Reiki Master in 2012. Prior to that, she served as a lifestyle director in well-known retirement homes all over San Diego and as a teacher at the Dutch School of Southern California.
Over the past decade, Ingrid has participated in several sporting events including century bike rides, triathlons, and marathons to raise funds for non-profit organizations. She is currently a proud sponsor of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society LLS), the Arthritis Foundation and RAD (Rising Above Disability) and serves in two local churches in kids ministries.
Ingrid worked as a sports massage therapist at large events to support non-profits including the Team in Training program (LLS), the Arthritis Foundation, the Humane Society and the American Cancer Society. Recognizing her commitment to sponsoring events and raising monies for these important causes Ingrid received the Passion Award from LLS stating that she has "A Heart for Others that Knows No Bounds."
She enjoys working in a team setting with Pain Care Doctors, Nurses, Acupuncturists, Physical Therapists, and Chiropractors. As a Reiki Master and a as dedicated Christian, Ingrid incorporates spirituality and Reiki Healing Touch in all of her massage therapy techniques to increase healing the body, both physically and spiritually. In her spare time, she socializes with her friends and daughter, walks the dog, helps out at the horse ranch, and spends time gardening and in nature.
